How Black Knight Uses Learning to Break Down Silos

Black Knight, a company with a strong culture of learning and innovation, needed a better way to share knowledge across departments, increase engagement, and reward curiosity. Working with Skillsoft and its Percipio learning platform, Black Knight built Black Knight University (BKU) and launched the internal Guru Program to help employees access curated courses and connect with subject matter experts.

Skillsoft’s Percipio-supported solution enabled Black Knight to create a gamified knowledge-sharing hub where employees could post, ask questions, watch videos, and tap into expertise beyond their own roles. The results were strong: in 2022, 3,354 of 3,646 unique learners interacted with Gurus, and Guru site visits were up 33% compared with Q1 2021, showing measurable growth in engagement and learning across the organization.
