EnerSys, a global leader in stored energy solutions with about 9,500 employees serving roughly 10,000 customers in 100+ countries, needed to move beyond locally focused training. An EMEA employee survey highlighted gaps in learning and development, so the company created an Academy to deliver consistent, broader L&D offerings that would build new skills and behaviors, attract and retain talent, and standardize development across regions.
EnerSys piloted the Skillsoft platform with 150 licenses across EMEA, blending its instructor-led courses with eLearning and books and enabling advanced reporting for usage and outcomes. The mixed approach supported diverse learning styles; one-third of licensees accessed content in the first week and employees logged 57.5 hours of learning in the first four weeks, demonstrating rapid adoption and scalable capability to embed skills across the organization.
