BT, a global communications provider with more than 87,000 employees operating in over 170 countries, needed to rapidly develop higher and more consistent IT skills and foster a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing to enter new markets and protect its core business.
Partnering with Skillsoft, BT implemented Accredited Learning Pathways (ALPs) — online courseware aligned to key technology domains plus study groups, live learning and drop‑in surgery sessions — to support learning and external accreditation. The program produced 19 ALPs, more than 6,000 staff have completed pathways, and continuous learning is now embedded across the organization.
