CGI’s AI Learning Strategy Earns ‘Program of the Year

CGI, a global IT services firm of roughly 90,000 employees, faced the challenge of quickly building company‑wide fluency in generative AI and responsible AI so staff could safely and confidently advise clients and apply AI in their work. The problem was scaling timely, relevant training across a dispersed, technically diverse workforce while keeping pace with a rapidly evolving technology landscape.

CGI partnered with Skillsoft to launch a three‑phase Global AI Training Program that combined 60+ role‑based, bite‑sized learning journeys, hands‑on activities, live leadership sessions and personalized content tied to CGI’s Responsible AI framework. In 90 days 70,000 employees participated and earned 140,000 badges, 90% of learners reported confidence applying what they learned, and the program won Skillsoft’s “Program of the Year.”
