U-Haul, the long-standing leader in DIY moving and self-storage, needed to modernize U-Haul University after its on‑premises LMS could no longer scale or support integrated authoring, analytics, and a contemporary learner experience. To meet those needs, U-Haul partnered with Skilljar and selected Skilljar’s cloud-based training platform to enable thousands of internal subject-matter experts to author, publish, and manage courses consistently across the organization.

Using Skilljar, U-Haul migrated nearly 1.9 million enrollments, 67,000 students and 800+ courses in eight months, established onboarding workflows for hundreds of content creators via the Skilljar Dashboard, and leveraged Skilljar’s analytics to iterate course content. The program now averages ~80% 30-day course completion (roughly 4x industry standard), about 56,000 registrations per month, 12,000 monthly active users, and an average of five courses per student per month—demonstrating clear, measurable impact from Skilljar’s solution.
