Automox Sees 75% Reduction in Customer Onboarding Time with Skilljar

Automox, a cloud-native IT operations company, was facing exponential growth and a mounting onboarding burden: new customers relied on docs, community posts and time-consuming 1:1 Zoom trainings with Customer Success Engineers. To scale onboarding, reduce repetitive training, and free CSEs to focus on advanced product conversations, Automox launched Automox University — a customer education portal powered by Skilljar.

Automox implemented Skilljar in September 2021 and rolled out a phased onboarding program within three months, directing customers to Automox University for baseline training while CSEs handled deeper, complex topics. Using Skilljar, Automox is seeing rapid enrollment growth, roughly 80 new accounts monthly, and a 75% reduction in manual onboarding training hours; one large customer got two admins up to speed with four courses in under 45 minutes versus four one-hour Zoom workshops. Automox has integrated Skilljar with Salesforce and Gainsight and plans to expand to about 20 courses across five curricula.
