Barclays needed to assess how well employees retained knowledge from their information security e-learning courses. They sought a highly engaging tool to identify knowledge gaps and measure retention months after the initial training. To meet this challenge, they partnered with Skillcast to utilize their gamified learning solution.

Skillcast implemented a SCORM-based gamified assessment that presented learners with short scenarios and quick-fire questions. A key feature was the ability for employees to indicate their confidence in each answer, providing deeper insight into potential risk areas. The solution resulted in high knowledge retention rates, such as 98% for physical security, and provided the data needed for Barclays to design targeted future training.
