Nissan USA wanted to build awareness for innovation in the new Altima and engage American consumers and auto enthusiasts. TBWA\Chiat\Day created the Nissan Innovation Garage—a social microsite using Facebook Connect that let users submit ideas, receive a dynamic shareable film about themselves, and have entries judged by fans and experts with the top two ideas launched on Kickstarter.
TBWA\Chiat\Day’s campaign generated strong measurable impact: more than 450,000 unique site visits, 100,510,439 total media impressions, over 150,000 Facebook likes, 91,000+ new Nissan Altima Facebook page Likes (more than doubling the Altima fan base) and over 15,000 idea submissions, successfully amplifying Nissan USA’s Altima innovation messaging.
