A SKIDATA Case Study
Salzburg Airport sought to modernize its parking facilities to handle increasing passenger numbers and provide the highest level of convenience for its guests. Their requirements included implementing an online reservation system, providing accessible cash machines, and improving the overall efficiency of parking management. To address this challenge, they partnered with vendor SKIDATA for a comprehensive access and revenue management solution.
The solution implemented by SKIDATA included a license plate recognition system for frequent parkers, an integrated parking guidance system, and online pre-booking capabilities. The project involved installing 27 access gates and 8 accessible cash machines. As a result, Salzburg Airport now efficiently manages 3,600 parking spaces and records over 636,000 vehicle accesses per year. The success of the project led to a long-term partnership, evidenced by a 10-year maintenance contract between the airport and SKIDATA.
