Parking at a shopping mall – easily monitored and controlled from 600 km away

The customer, Catuaí Palladium, is a shopping and leisure center in Brazil that required a robust and reliable parking and access management system to control vehicle flow for its over 1,600 spaces. Their challenge was to minimize operating costs and improve control, which was complicated by the fact that their head office was located 600 km away from the mall. They partnered with SKIDATA to implement a new installation.

SKIDATA implemented a parking management system featuring access columns, a digital ticketing solution for employees and monthly users, and digital payment options. This provided 100% automatic and fraud-free charging and, crucially, allowed the entire system to be monitored and controlled remotely from the distant head office. The results were highly successful, with the client praising the system's reliability and modern design, which also attracted new customers. The project's success led to further business deals between the mall's administrator, Grupo Tacla, and SKIDATA.
