The North Queensland Stadium, a new 25,000-seat venue in Townsville, required an access solution that was both future-proof and capable of seamless integration with its chosen ticketing partner, Ticketmaster. SKIDATA provided the solution by installing its Flex.Gate Userboxes and Handshake.Logic software on Gunnebo turnstiles, marking the first such installation of Flex.Gate in Australia. This system integrated directly with Ticketmaster to manage ticket information and reporting. The result was a highly successful implementation, proven during the opening event for Elton John, where over 20,000 attendees entered the venue smoothly with no issues.
