El Colorado Ski Resort, a popular ski area in the Andes near Santiago, Chile, sought a professional access management system to add value for its guests and operators. The challenge was to manage convenient access and shorten waiting periods for its many visitors. They partnered with SKIDATA to find a solution.

SKIDATA implemented a digital access system featuring an online web shop for pre-booking ski passes, enabling electronic permits and online payment. The solution included installing access readers at ski lifts and adding turnstiles to include more lifts in the validation system. This SKIDATA system improved lift management and provided quicker entry for customers, successfully handling up to 6,000 visitors on a peak day, which the resort stated would be impossible without it.
