Brooklyn Solar Canopy Co. faced the challenge of showcasing its solar canopies to potential buyers using only static photos, which were insufficient for helping customers visualize the product on their own homes or interact with it. To overcome this barrier for their new product type, they partnered with vendor Sketchfab to create an interactive 3D solution.
The solution implemented by Sketchfab was an interactive 3D Configurator, developed using their Viewer API. This tool allowed users to personalize their canopy design and see an updated price, resulting in an accelerated sales process, reduced burden on the small team by answering common questions, and significantly increased engagement, including winning a "best booth" prize at a major trade show after hundreds of attendees interacted with it.
