Computer lunch shortens its game development process with visual maps

Computer Lunch Games, a Brooklyn-based game development studio, faced the challenge of planning a complex, research-driven mobile game called "Cell to Singularity." They needed a collaborative tool to visually map out the game's massive "tech tree" spanning 4.5 billion years of evolution and seamlessly communicate that plan from the research team to the programmers.

They implemented Sketchboard as their visual mapping platform. The solution provided an online whiteboard that allowed for collaborative editing, color-coding, and flexible visual planning. This enabled the team to create a direct, one-to-one map for their programmers in Unity, speeding up the entire development process. Sketchboard helped Computer Lunch become more efficient in their writing and significantly shortened their game development timeline.
