Remote Year - Customer Case Study

Remote Year, a platform that enables people to work and travel together, faced inconsistent and manual room-management across its city programs—some teams used Google Calendars, others pen-and-paper or no system—causing frequent double bookings given a 5:1 ratio of Remotes to bookable spaces. To solve this, Remote Year adopted Skedda’s workspace booking platform to give travelers a consistent way to find and reserve meeting rooms and phone booths.

Skedda was rolled out by Remote Year’s Central Operations across its European cities (used in four workspaces: Split, Lisbon, Marrakesh and Cape Town), offering a single-login venue system and immediate access via email or social sign-on. The Skedda implementation centralized bookings, let Remotes create and end reservations from anywhere, simplified onboarding in new cities, and reduced booking conflicts—freeing up space and minimizing interruptions to users’ workflows.
