A Skedda Case Study
Boston University’s Questrom School of Business faced growing pressure to manage limited space on a busy urban campus. With only 170 faculty offices for over 240 professors, many bookings were handled manually by a single administrator, leaving faculty to send multiple emails or make phone calls and creating conflicts and frustration.
Boston University turned to Skedda to give adjunct faculty and teaching assistants self-service access to shared offices, conference rooms, lounges, and event spaces. Using features including tag-specific access links, custom booking rules, interactive floor plans, and Workplace Intelligence reports, Skedda reduced office assignment workload, improved transparency, and helped staff save hours every semester; what once took weeks now takes significantly less time, and Kris Weir said it now takes “a matter of hours” to set up faculty, send emails, and give out keys.
