United Stationers, a leading wholesale distributor with 69 distribution centers across North America, wanted to improve communication and encourage adoption of video collaboration across the company. To support this initiative, SKC Communications deployed Polycom video conferencing equipment to make the technology easy to use for employees in offices and at headquarters.

SKC Communications installed Polycom HDX 8000 systems at all locations, supported by a Polycom RMX 2000 bridge and CMA 5000 management software, along with LG LCD monitors and AVTEQ carts. The rollout was backed by customized internal communications and training sessions, and the results were strong: more than 500 key users were trained, videoconferencing adoption increased significantly, and employees gained a more natural face-to-face meeting experience with less technology frustration.
