A SKC Communications Case Study
Ft. Worth Museum of Science and History needed a new telepresence system while finishing construction of its new building. The museum wanted a flexible way to support curriculum enhancement classes and virtual museum tours, and turned to SKC Communications for help using the Cisco TelePresence System Codec C60 and related AV control components.
SKC Communications designed and installed a custom telepresence solution that combined image compositing, dual 1080p displays, a wall-mounted TelePresence camera, a ceiling document camera, and AMX control via an NI-3100 controller and Modero touch panel. The system let instructors present multiple content sources at once and interact face-to-face with remote classrooms, helping boost museum attendance and establishing the museum as a leader in interactive classroom enhancement technology.
