City of Ft. Collins - Customer Case Study

SKC Communications worked with the City of Ft. Collins, specifically the Poudre Fire Department, to replace an aging Cisco video platform with a more flexible and higher-quality videoconferencing environment. The city wanted to improve call quality, support mobility and two-way video from devices beyond room systems, and enable audio conference calls with up to 96 participants through a joint voice/video bridge solution.

SKC Communications implemented a fully functional Polycom videoconferencing suite, including Polycom RealPresence Web Suite and core Polycom infrastructure. The results included better collaboration access through browser-based video, and the environment has since expanded with three additional Polycom RealPresence Group Series endpoints, with plans to add another RealPresence Collaboration Server 1800 to meet growing capacity needs.
