Andrews McMeel Universal needed an experienced A/V partner as it completed renovations to its new executive boardroom in the historic Boley Building in downtown Kansas City. The room’s open layout, windows on all sides, curved wall surfaces used as projection areas, and abundant natural light created a challenging environment for installing reliable presentation and meeting technology. SKC Communications was brought in to help design and integrate the system, including a Crestron TPMC-8X control system along with audio, video, microphone, speaker, and projection components.

SKC Communications delivered a clean, user-friendly boardroom solution with hidden technology, custom table microphones, in-wall speakers, and a removable wireless Crestron touch panel for easy room control. The team adjusted projector throw to improve image quality on the curved screens and used Biamp audio processing to reduce feedback and background noise for clearer conversations. The result was a polished, easy-to-use executive boardroom that impressed the client, with Andrews McMeel Universal already considering future videoconferencing additions.
