Nissan multi-screen campaign converts smartphone into a game controller

Nissan wanted to showcase the technical innovations of its Qashqai 360 SUV with a virtual test drive that would let drivers experience the car’s handling in a more engaging way. Working with Sizmek, Nissan used a push-down banner and multiscreen format to turn the smartphone into a remote PC game controller for an interactive driving simulation.

Sizmek implemented the connected campaign experience so users could link their devices with a code and play the simulation across desktop and mobile. The campaign reached 978,088 unique users and outperformed benchmarks, delivering a 1.05% CTR versus 0.47%, a 12.72% dwell rate versus 11.52%, and a 71.75-second average dwell time versus 58.5 seconds.
