Morrisons Nearly Doubles Brand Awareness With Sizmek Mobile In Just Three Weeks

Morrisons, one of the U.K.’s largest supermarket chains, wanted to increase awareness of its in-season fresh fruits and vegetables while ensuring ads were only shown to shoppers near a store. Working with Sizmek’s mobile geo-targeting capabilities, Morrisons launched a highly relevant, location-based campaign to reach users within a 15-minute drive of its 500+ U.K. stores.

Sizmek implemented three waves of high-impact interstitial mobile ads, each featuring different produce items, and used a pre- and post-campaign rich media survey to measure brand lift. The result was a nearly 50% increase in brand awareness, with correct responses rising from 13% to 25% in just three weeks, demonstrating the impact of Sizmek’s geo-targeted mobile advertising.
