Dare Digital helped Barclaycard extend its “Water Slide” TV campaign into digital with a fresh online experience, as the brand wanted to challenge financial advertising conventions and engage a younger, more tech-savvy audience. The challenge was to make the online creative feel innovative and engaging rather than disruptive, while building on the buzz from the TV ad.

Using Sizmek, Dare Digital delivered a bespoke interactive Homepage Takeover game inspired by a childhood plumbing puzzle, visually and thematically tied to the waterslide concept. The campaign generated 13.7 million impressions, reached 4.6 million unique users, achieved a 58% interaction rate, and delivered an average dwell time of 58 seconds, well above the 42-second European rich media benchmark.
