Westfield Washington Schools sought assistance from Six Feet Up to upgrade their Plone CMS from version 2.5.3 to 3.x and to consolidate ten individual school websites into a single, more manageable Plone instance. Their challenge was to simplify content sharing and management across all sites while allowing each school to maintain its own unique look-and-feel.

Six Feet Up implemented the Lineage and Theme Switcher add-ons to create a single Plone site that appears as ten separate websites to end-users. This solution enabled centralized content management and user administration while allowing for individual site themes. The upgrade also incorporated Buildout for easier deployment. As a result, the school district achieved a seamless, world-class web presence that improved information distribution and accessibility for its entire community.
