University of Virginia Health System launches a Plone patient website with Six Feet Up in Q1 2010

The University of Virginia Health System needed to launch a new, user-friendly website for its Medical Center patients that would make it easy to find information on hundreds of doctors, services and health topics. Six Feet Up was enlisted to develop this new site powered by the Plone content management system.

Six Feet Up implemented a comprehensive Plone-based solution featuring advanced search and faceted navigation, integration with EBSCO for medical content and Google Maps for locations, and an automated system for content tagging and promotion. The new site successfully accomplished the goal of providing patients with specific search results and easy access to information, while also making content maintenance simple for a large staff.
