University of North Carolina launches a Plone intranet and homepage slideshow with Six Feet Up

The University of North Carolina's Center for Galapagos Studies contacted Six Feet Up for assistance in implementing a new Plone website and developing a Plone theme. The challenge was to create a site to detail the partnership's research, education and outreach activities while also providing a secure intranet section for faculty and student researchers to share information.

Six Feet Up implemented a Plone 3 site featuring a clean, simple skin. The solution included a homepage slideshow and a news portlet that displayed images. The resulting website, located at galapagos.unc.edu, successfully serves as a hub for the initiative's programs and provides a dedicated space for collaborative research.
