United Nations Environment Program launches IW:LEARN intranet with Six Feet Up

The United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) engaged Six Feet Up to assist with the implementation of advanced filtering abilities for the News Center on its IW:LEARN website. This highly customized Plone site, which shares information on international water management, required a sophisticated JavaScript interface to allow visitors to filter content by various criteria.

Six Feet Up implemented these filtering features using the Ext JS framework for the News Center, Document Center and Project Database. Additionally, Six Feet Up helped UNEP launch a new KARL-based intranet for the GEF IW Community Platform. This open source knowledge management system was introduced at an international conference to a very warm reception, providing a collaborative online space for distributed teams to share knowledge and continue discussions.
