The customer, NASA, faced a challenge in making sense of the immense amount of data collected by its New Horizons probe, which was initially stored in an unwieldy and difficult-to-use spreadsheet format. The vendor, Six Feet Up, was brought in to improve the portal used by NASA's scientists.

Six Feet Up migrated the existing application to the Plone CMS to add secure content management capabilities and improve the portal's usability. They implemented on-the-fly graphing of data points and used Zope3 and SQLAlchemy for back-end integration. The vendor completed the dashboard on time, providing NASA scientists with a concise and effective tool for accessing and analyzing data from the Pluto flyby.
