Dominican University launches Plone 5 with Six Feet Up, making editing faster and easier in 2018

Dominican University needed to upgrade its public website from Plone 4 to Plone 5 to leverage new technology improvements, prioritizing security and ease of use. Their existing site had database issues and problematic deployments, and some legacy add-ons were incompatible with the new version. They turned to Six Feet Up for assistance with the migration and also requested the integration of Google Authentication for users.

Six Feet Up architected the solution, performed the complex content migration and necessary customizations, and hosted the new site. They replaced incompatible add-ons, cleaned up the deployment process and successfully incorporated the requested authentication. The new website launched in spring 2018, with content contributors praising its much easier and user-friendly editing interface. The site also achieved a significant improvement in speed.
