Six Feet Up was approached by a major transportation player facing a significant challenge in processing a high volume of transportation documents. Their manual system, which relied on staff to scan, photograph and classify PDFs, was prone to errors, backlogs and poor image quality. The customer needed an automated solution utilizing AI and machine learning to speed up classification, reduce human error, and predict categories for new document types.

Six Feet Up implemented a solution leveraging Google Cloud Vision for OCR and Google AutoML for machine learning. They developed a proof of concept with custom Python scripts to process documents and then created a training model to automatically categorize page types.
