How Alinea Solar reduced the lifetime yield loss of their client's PV plant by 68%

Alinea Solar faced a challenge when the topography for a client's planned 1.1 MW PV plant was assumed to be flat by the EPC, but was actually sloped. This inaccuracy created a potential lifetime yield loss of €111,155 for their client. To mitigate this issue, Alinea Solar turned to Sitemark and its drone-based topography data service.

Using the Sitemark Fuse Platform, Alinea Solar obtained detailed drone survey data to accurately redesign the plant in PVsyst without sending a surveyor on-site. Sitemark's solution enabled a redesign that reduced shading by adjusting panel orientation and pitch. This improved the annual energy yield and slashed the calculated lifetime yield loss by 68%, saving €75,633 and increasing the project's performance.
