Smallbizapalooza, a WordPress site founded by Ivana Taylor to connect entrepreneurs with experts, sponsors and small-business marketing resources, suffered a sudden spike in traffic that revealed a pharmaceutical hack. Malicious pages advertising prescription drugs had been injected into the site, Google flagged the pages, and Taylor—worried about her audience—contacted her host and then SiteLock for help.
