FuturePastFifty is a WordPress site created by Nancy Burke and Dr. Marg Penn to provide resources and community for people over 50; developer George Greene has managed the site since 2014. In January the site was hit by stealthy malware that redirected visitors to a bogus site, prompting the host to suspend FuturePastFifty to prevent further damage and prompting urgent action to avoid SEO and email blacklisting.

The team engaged SiteLock and purchased the INFINITY package, which combined the SMART scanner and TrueShield WAF. SMART analyzed ~72,924 files and removed the malicious redirect while TrueShield has already blocked over 1,328 bot attempts and 2,000+ visits from blacklisted countries. The site was restored, protection hardened, and the owners regained confidence thanks to proactive support and expert remediation.
