Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC), a 255‑bed health care provider, needed to deliver timely, accurate patient education and make it easy for patients to find the right care provider. Its biggest challenge was maintaining accurate, consistent content across a large consumer-facing site—reviews were done quarterly and mostly in response to complaints, leaving errors and outdated information unaddressed for long periods.
GBMC implemented Siteimprove’s web governance tools (Quality Assurance, Content Policy, dashboard and uptime monitoring) to get immediate alerts and an at-a-glance view of site health. The shift to proactive monitoring greatly reduced spelling errors, helped resolve template problems after a site relaunch, improved awareness of uptime for their self-hosted site, and saved time while keeping patient-facing content accurate and up to date.
