Haworth, a family‑owned global leader in office furniture, needed to launch a direct ecommerce channel without compromising its brand or complex built‑to‑order product offering. The project had to handle thousands of SKU permutations (one chair alone could have 11,000+ configurations and millions of possible combinations), integrate with systems like SAP, Cumulus DAM, Avalara Tax and Adobe Scene 7, and provide strong product visualization and mobile support.
Springthrough implemented a customized Telerik Sitefinity solution, building a SKU generation engine, integrating SAP, Avalara, Auth.NET and Adobe Scene 7 (including an AR iPad app), and providing a marketing‑friendly CMS. The new store drove dramatic results—organic search visits +438%, overall visits +378%, unique visitors +527%, page views +198% and mobile visits +850%—and quickly exceeded sales targets.
