Using Sitecore to put members at the heart of the online experience

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, the professional body for Chartered Accountants representing up to 70,000 current and future business leaders, needed a modern, interactive website that reflected its reputation as a thought leader. Their legacy site was hard to navigate, offered limited interactivity, and was burdensome to administer—making it difficult to deliver tailored member services. To address this, the Institute selected Sitecore and its Sitecore CMS to support multi‑team publishing, device‑agnostic delivery and a more personalised member experience.

Working with web agency BlueArc, the Institute implemented an enterprise site powered by Sitecore CMS and Sitecore OMS, adding features such as myAccount drag‑and‑drop customization, a secure myCommunity collaboration area, intelligent search and mobile readiness. The Sitecore solution delivered measurable gains: member online payments rose from 65% to 70%, visits to the Training area increased 380% (training page views +170%), unique visitors grew 30%, overall page views rose and bounce rate fell by 12%, while over 85% of users said they were likely to recommend the site—reducing admin burden, call‑centre enquiries and maintenance costs.
