Case Study: Second Baptist Church achieves 380% increase in page views with Sitecore

A Sitecore Case Study

Preview of the Second Baptist Church Case Study

This membership-based organization improves their site to increase page views by more than 380%

Second Baptist Church (Houston, TX), a membership-based organization with more than 51,000 members across five campuses, needed a modern, scalable CMS to better communicate with diverse demographics, simplify navigation, and integrate its iMIS church membership management system. Their legacy homegrown CMS was restrictive and required IT support for routine changes, so they chose Sitecore’s CMS to deliver personalized, audience-specific experiences for newcomers and members.

Using Sitecore (implemented by partner Roundedcube), the church deployed audience-targeted themes, Sitecore modules (LDAP, Staging), Google Mini search integration, and iMIS connectivity to empower editors and preserve design integrity. As a result, page views rose from 803,000 to 3,047,000 per month (a 380% increase) and pages per visit went from 9 to 40 (a 444% increase); more than 70 editors now manage content, the site runs faster, and a new class portal generated 73,000 emails in its first month and 1,000+ registered users in the first week—demonstrating the measurable impact of Sitecore.
