Swiss Insurance Provider Delivers Industry-Leading Mobile Customer Experience with Sitecore

Zurich, the Swiss arm of Zurich Group International serving roughly 1.4 million customers, faced an aging website that limited marketing agility, made content creation and translation cumbersome, delivered a poor mobile experience, and suffered from performance and stability issues. To transform its online presence and set a Group-wide technical standard, Zurich selected Sitecore’s customer/digital experience platform (Sitecore 7.0) to rebuild the site with a focus on findability, compliance workflows, and multi‑language support.

Sitecore implemented a responsive, multi‑language website using Sitecore 7.0 (with Webforms for Marketers, Sitecore search and analytics) and .NET integration, plus usability features like a Contact Wizard for quick task completion. The Sitecore deployment delivered industry‑leading mobile self‑service (customers can file claims and attach photos from smartphones), faster time‑to‑market for marketing campaigns and landing pages, reduced content maintenance effort for editors, high performance and stability, and positive customer feedback on usability while supporting more than 1.2 million annual site visitors.
