Case Study: SGS achieves a consistent global web presence and improved customer experience with Sitecore

A Sitecore Case Study

Preview of the SGS Case Study

Strengthens brand awareness, communication and customer experience with its new global web presence based on Sitecore

SGS, the Switzerland‑based inspection, testing, certification and verification company with over 70,000 employees and operations in 60+ countries, faced a fragmented web estate—more than 270 corporate, country and mini‑sites running on Livelink WCM—that made it hard to find information, enforce brand and content consistency across 2,500+ services, and govern translations. To address this, SGS selected Sitecore’s web CMS and marketing automation platform (implemented with partner Nemetos) as the foundation for a single, multilingual global web presence.

Using Sitecore, SGS built a customized solution with modules such as SEO, Web Forms for Marketers, Languagewire translation integration, Endeca search, CRM and analytics connections, responsive design and Akamai for China. The Sitecore implementation consolidated services and information onto one platform (serving 60+ country sites in 21 languages), created a universal service directory, improved navigation and brand consistency, simplified content governance, increased editor productivity and enabled personalized visitor experiences and CRM‑tracked leads.
