Sitecore helps PFC Energy evolve from print to digital to better serve clients

PFC Energy, a leading consultancy for the global oil and gas industry, needed to evolve from distributing research as emailed PDFs to a searchable, shareable digital subscription service that could support cross-marketing, faceted search and personalized access. To solve this, PFC Energy selected Sitecore’s Web Content Management System (CMS) (implemented with partner NavigationArts) to replace its print-oriented workflow and modernize its public and member-facing sites.

NavigationArts implemented and customized Sitecore (including Sitecore’s Online Marketing Suite) and integrated it with Salesforce, ExactTarget, Coveo Enterprise Search and other systems. The Sitecore solution enabled management of 30,000+ content assets with a dozen+ editors publishing daily, faceted enterprise search, personalized member access, analytics-driven (traffic-metered) billing, and automated marketing—PFC Energy now sends about 1.8 million targeted emails annually and has greatly improved content discoverability, cross-promotion and customer engagement.
