Cricket Australia, the national governing body for cricket in Australia, needed to launch a digital presence for the new KFC T20 Big Bash League and eight team sites, drive fan engagement months before the competition began, and manage multiple concurrent site deliveries on a single platform. Cricket Australia engaged agency Reactive and selected Sitecore (Sitecore CMS) to provide multi-site management, ease of content editing and the social/mobile capabilities required for a youth-focused, high‑traffic launch.
Reactive built nine visually distinct but centrally managed sites and mobile apps on Sitecore, using templates, shared content, rich media, live countdowns, membership features and deep social integration (Facebook Like Ladder, Fan Voice). The Sitecore solution enabled a sub‑10‑month launch, delivered over 3 million page views during the season with average sessions of ~3½ minutes, 75–80% new visits, and strong mobile uptake (iPhone app 84,000+ downloads; Android 23,500+ users), demonstrating clear, measurable engagement gains driven by Sitecore.
