Case Study: Veiligheidsregio Midden- en West-Brabant achieves faster, coordinated crisis communication and collaboration with Sitecore

Safety regions improve information supply and collaborative efforts thanks to the Sitecore platform

Veiligheidsregio Midden- en West-Brabant, the regional authority responsible for fire services, disaster relief and crisis management, needed to improve how it supplied information during calamities, simplify use of web and social channels, and deploy a robust, scalable platform. Working with Sitecore (via partner Estate), the organization selected the Sitecore Experience Platform and related Sitecore modules to replace a static website with an interactive, integrated communications environment.

Sitecore implemented the Sitecore Experience Platform plus Email Experience Manager, Web Forms for Marketers and Sitecore Client Services, and integrated a CIST iPad app and crisis banners that propagate to 26 municipality sites and social channels. The Sitecore solution enables up to 20 staff to publish simultaneously across channels, auto-generates one‑click crisis timeline reports for evaluations, strengthened the region’s profile as a safety hub, and has been adopted by other regions (Kennemerland, Limburg), improving speed, coordination and measurable reporting of crisis communications.
