Rust-Oleum, a paint and coatings manufacturer, needed a progressive web app to let DIY customers pick from a palette of more than 500 colors, calculate required paint gallons for projects, and complete seamless in-store or online purchases through retailer Menards. To meet these challenges Rust-Oleum worked with Sitecore, using Sitecore Experience Platform (XP 9.0) and Sitecore Experience Analytics Tools to power the new experience.

Sitecore delivered the Smart Coat progressive web app (smartcoat.com), integrating a fast, low‑server‑load UI with a custom Menards.com shopping cart integration, a paint‑gallon calculator, and personalized color selection. The Sitecore solution enabled customers to choose accurate colors and quantities and checkout smoothly in‑store or online, improving responsiveness and simplifying the commerce and content experience for end users.
