Royal Life Saving Society WA, a nonprofit focused on drowning prevention, faced a fragmented digital estate across 19 business operations and multiple CMSs, plus largely paper‑based, manual fundraising processes—raffle ticket sales (90% of fundraising) were handled by phone, mail, or in-person, becoming increasingly costly and less effective. To modernize, Royal Life Saving partnered with Sitecore, deploying Sitecore Experience Platform (XP) with Sitecore xDB and Sitecore Email Experience Manager (EXM) on Microsoft Azure.
Sitecore consolidated nine disparate sites into a single platform (with UCommerce, NAB payment gateway and VETtrak integrations), enabled online raffle sales and digital ticket delivery, and launched a Job Board with automated EXM emails. The Sitecore solution drove measurable results: 951,067 raffle tickets sold across 185 campaigns raising A$4.71M, a 42% conversion of traditional donors to the new platform, roughly 75,000 new supporters, a 14.6% rise in site traffic, and reduced printing/postage and payment processing costs equal to about half a full‑time salary.
