The Royal College of Surgeons (RCSI) needed to strengthen global student recruitment and build trust with prospective students and parents while consolidating multiple regional sites into a single platform that could handle language and cultural differences across Ireland, Bahrain and Malaysia. To meet these challenges they selected Sitecore and its products—Sitecore Experience Manager, Sitecore Experience Platform (XP 9.2), Sitecore xDB and Sitecore Services—to redesign and merge their web presence.

Sitecore, integrated with Microsoft Azure, Dynamics and RCSI’s research systems, delivered a personalised, flexible and governable digital experience that positioned RCSI as a world leader in healthcare education. The new Sitecore-based site drove strong engagement gains (site visits +177%, sessions +52%, pageviews +127%, organic search +90%), enabled rapid launches such as a COVID-19 hub within days, consolidated digital governance, and helped RCSI manage its entire digital experience while earning industry recognition.
