Rocky Mountain Health Plans, a Colorado health insurer serving more than 230,000 people, faced aging, decentralized web and CMS systems that made content updates slow, risked compliance, and delivered a one-size-fits-all customer experience. To modernize ahead of open enrollment, RMHP partnered with Horizontal Integration and selected Sitecore—deploying Sitecore Experience Platform on Microsoft Azure with xDB and Email Experience Manager—to consolidate sites, enable personalization, and strengthen security and compliance.

Using Sitecore on Azure, RMHP launched a mobile corporate site and a multitenant Medicare portal with analytics-driven personalization, automated email workflows, and encrypted backups. The Sitecore implementation cut support calls by 85%, sped time-to-market, reduced reliance on developers and third parties by empowering nontechnical staff to manage content, and improved scalability and security—delivering a faster, more compliant, and self-sufficient digital experience.
