A Sitecore Case Study
Nymity, a provider of web-based privacy research tools for privacy officers and lawyers, faced an exploding volume of legal and technical content that their legacy CMS could not organize, search or update efficiently — and they had no in-house IT team to manage it. To build a scalable, metadata-driven privacy support portal and automate its risk‑based research methodology, Nymity chose Sitecore’s CMS and portal software (implemented by partner SiteSystems).
Using Sitecore, SiteSystems developed PrivaWorks — a personalized portal with advanced taxonomies, metadata-driven search, alerts, forums and a dedicated database — delivering the required functionality within budget (PrivaWorks in about 10 months; corporate site rebuilt in 2 months). The Sitecore-based solution launched in the U.S. in September 2008, serves roughly 600 North American subscribers, enabled Nymity staff to support most operations after a one‑day training, and significantly improved content accessibility and time-to-insight (claimed as “80% of what a client wants to know about a privacy case in 20 minutes”).
