Palfinger, a global manufacturer of lifting solutions headquartered in Salzburg, faced inconsistent country websites that diluted its brand and made multilingual product information hard to manage. To create a consistent, high-quality online presence and a single “product truth” across markets, Palfinger selected Sitecore’s experience platform (Sitecore 6.5) to support multi-website and multilingual management and integrate with its product information system.
Working with Sitecore (and partner Unic), Palfinger launched Phase I sites for nine country/region sites and five initial languages, using Sitecore features such as IP geolocation, Web API modules, Google Maps and Hybris integration for centralized product data. The Sitecore implementation delivered measurable gains — increased website traffic, higher lead volumes for sales partners, stronger brand recognition, reduced web/content management costs, centralized global content with local editing, and successful achievement of a single product truth.
