Case Study: Oxfam International achieves increased supporter engagement and streamlined web operations with Sitecore

A Sitecore Case Study

Preview of the Oxfam International Case Study

Oxfam GB is part of an international confederation of 17 organisations working in 94 countries worldwide to find lasting solutions to poverty and injustice around the world

Oxfam International, part of a global confederation working to end poverty and injustice, faced a fragmented web presence with some 20,000 hand-built HTML pages and a mix of technologies that limited content reuse, required developers to publish, and produced inconsistent digital communications. Seeking a scalable Microsoft .NET platform, Oxfam selected Sitecore — including the Sitecore Content Management Solution and its integrated Digital Marketing System — to enable broader content ownership, better workflow and the potential for personalization and analytics.

Sitecore was implemented (with partner Code Computerlove) using a component-based approach that let non‑technical teams create and reuse content, add community and e-commerce capabilities, and apply engagement analytics for personalization. The Sitecore solution delivered measurable time and cost savings, a reskin completed ahead of schedule and under budget, and improved user metrics — increased dwell time and higher conversion rates across key donation journeys — while enabling Oxfam to adopt agile working practices and greater operational flexibility.
