ONYX Hospitality upgrades web content management

ONYX Hospitality Group, a leading Asia Pacific hotel management company with nearly 50 hotels and a pipeline of 30 more, needed to modernize its web content management to better engage connected travelers, boost loyalty and retention, and support rapid growth. After evaluating options (including Gartner’s Magic Quadrant), ONYX selected Sitecore—deploying the Sitecore Experience Platform (XP) and Sitecore Experience Database (xDB) with Microsoft Azure compatibility—to replace its legacy CMS and enable mass personalization.

Sitecore worked with ONYX’s internal team (two developers and three designers) and regional Sitecore support to migrate sites in 3–4 months, with the first OZO brand site live in under six months. The implementation delivered a mobile-first experience, centralized personalized log-ins, CRM integration for improved data collection, segmented traffic with tailored segmentation scores, and streamlined internal workflows—reducing project cost by avoiding third-party agencies and enabling ONYX to manage and replicate the solution across brands.
